  • the desire to work in a truly inclusive school, where every child, family and staff member feels welcomed and valued
  • the highest expectations for children’s attainment, personal development, welfare and behaviour
  • ability to activate all children, staff and parents / carers to support our Christian ethos and our values
  • excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills
  • the willingness to look outwards, and the desire to continually learn
  • an understanding of the latest OFSTED and SIAMS inspection frameworks to drive performance
  • a desire to research and implement new as well as proven teaching methods to support development of all children in the school
  • proven leadership with evidence of understanding and embedding new initiatives to develop and enhance the curriculum
  • an understanding of effective management and an ability to support, mentor and empower a team of highly motivated, passionate and dedicated staff
  • confidence to be a visible and active headteacher, available to children, staff and parents
  • an openness to the advice and guidance of others; to readily admit mistakes and share the learning opportunities from these.
