Beechwood Primary School is a thriving four-form entry school located in the heart of the Leagrave and Challney community in Luton. With 844 pupils on roll, including nursery provision, we proudly serve a richly diverse and multicultural population. Our ethos centres on nurturing children to become confident, responsible, sociable and well-rounded individuals, ready to thrive in secondary school and beyond.

Due to the retirement of our Headteacher, the Governing Board is seeking a dynamic and inspirational leader to guide Beechwood into its next exciting chapter.

Our school is known for its warm, inclusive environment where children are happy, inquisitive and eager to learn. Pupils are polite, cooperative and ambitious, supported by families who value strong home school partnerships. At Beechwood, staff work collaboratively and with dedication to continually improve outcomes for all learners, fostering a culture of respect, aspiration and achievement.

We are looking for a Headteacher who:

Is a dynamic, inspiring leader who can continue to motivate the staff and lead the school into its next chapter of Outstanding

Is deeply committed to nurturing our children toward becoming confident

Will be committed and relentless in pursuit of excellence and have a vision for education, with the strategic leadership and communication skills needed to deliver this

Will encourage inquisitive learning and help every child to develop in skills and knowledge, in confidence and personal responsibility with respect for others

Will welcome parents and carers at the heart of the children’s education
