Broad Heath is an incredible school that our community is justifiably proud of. As our headteacher is retiring, we are now looking for a new person to take us on the next steps in our journey. The governors, staff and children wish to appoint an inspirational Headteacher. They will be a highly motivated, caring and energetic leader who will inspire and nurture our children with a broad and creative curriculum and who will understand our shared vision of wanting every child to gain from their school experiences, each and every day.

What the school offers its staff

We are looking for a Headteacher who is:

- a caring and committed leader who has high ambitions for all staff and pupils while nurturing their personal growth and wellbeing;

- an experienced leader who can nurture outstanding teaching skills whilst also taking a strategic role in further school improvement;

- able to develop strategic plans to raise standards, whilst promoting and celebrating the achievements of all children and staff;

- able to articulate and demonstrate a clear understanding of effective leadership and management within schools;

- committed to working with children, parents and staff to build upon the current high standards across the school and community;

- an open, honest and effective communicator who is approachable and leads by example, taking ownership of the school and being recognised in the community as the ‘Face of the School’;

- someone who understands our values and our strengths and has the ability and imagination to help further develop the wonderful range of activities and experiences that our children benefit from;

- a visionary leader with drive, energy, resilience and a forward-thinking, positive outlook.

In return we can offer you:

- a warm and welcoming school community where everyone is valued and staff wellbeing is respected;

- happy, enthusiastic and well-behaved children who are willing and eager to learn;

- a school which has the support of our parents and wider community;

- a school where teamwork is strong

- a talented and caring staff who strive to build on our high standards;

- an effective, supportive and active Governing Body;

- opportunities to continue your own professional development journey;

- valuable and valued networking arrangements with other schools.
