Job description

To lead and manage Brookfield community primary school by:
Developing a rich, caring and safe learning environment where all children can achieve their full potential and high academic standards.

Ensuring that all staff are supported and given appropriate CPD so that all teaching is of a high standard.

Managing the finances of the school effectively to ensure efficient running of the school.

Working with Governors and other stakeholders to enable them to carry out their role in supporting the Headteacher and staff in maintaining high standards in all areas of school life.

Essential educational requirements


Essential qualifications

Evidence of recent child protection training

Essential skills and experience

Successful teaching experience in the primary phase.
A working and current knowledge and understanding of all three Key stages in the Primary School.
Up todate knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and guidance in relation to working with and protecting children and young people.
A sound understanding of how children learn and teachers can best teach to raise achievement for all pupils.
Successful leadership as a deputy Headteacher or Assistant Headteacher.
Recent and appropriate professional development for the role of Headteacher.
Experience of guiding, mentoring, coaching or training individuals or teams.
A clear vision for an innovative and forward thinking school.
The flexibility, initiative and drive to maintain a positive attitude in the face of a challenging and demanding job.
