We are seeking an inspirational leader who will continue to build on our school vision, ethos and values, whilst embracing the support the Trust offers our leaders, through networking, CPD and our amazing central services. The Headteacher will work closely with the Director of Primary, being deployed one day a week delivering school improvement and Trust strategy work.
About us:
Fossebrook is a brand-new school in Leicester Forest East. The school has grown year on year as we welcomed new children into EYFS. We now have year groups EYFS through to Y6 and the school is built to cater for 210 pupils. We greatly value parents and families as key to children’s success in education and are particularly keen to involve you in your child’s learning, by letting parents know what is happening in class, and supporting you to be able to help your child.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall strategic leadership for all aspect of the School
- Formulate the aims and objectives of the school to provide a “Limitless learning” opportunities for all children staff and families
- Establish local policies, procedures and practices to ensure all children “Discover their Potential” for achieving these aims and objectives
- Inspire staff to seek to provide outstanding learning opportunities for children and become self reflective learners.
- Monitor progress and development of children to ensure that all children are ready for the next stage of education
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications:
- Qualified teacher status
- Degree
Experience:
- Successful leadership and management experience in a school within 2 Key stages
- Teaching experience of teaching within 2 key stages
- Involvement in school self-evaluation and development planning
- Demonstrable experience of successful line management and staff development
- Have been a Deputy or Assistant Headteacher for a minimum of 2 years
Skills & Knowledge:
- Data analysis skills, and the ability to use data to set targets and identify weaknesses
- Understanding of high-quality teaching, and the ability to model this for others and support others to improve
- Understanding of school finances and financial management
