WELCOME FROM THE HEADTEACHER
It gives me great pleasure to introduce the children, staff and governors of Heathmere Primary School. OFSTED rated our school as GOOD in February 2019; we are immensely proud of our school and children.

VALUES AND VISION
At Heathmere, we set high standards for our children and we want them – by the time the reach Year 6 – to be ready for secondary school. Our school values of Respect, Resilience and High Expectations underpin everything that we do. We believe these are the values that will help children through their school years and also throughout their adult life. Take a moment to look at our vision and mission statement.

HEATHMERE ETHOS: ALWAYS LEARNING
Learning is at the centre of everything we do at Heathmere; we believe that children should be ‘Always Learning’. We focus on developing children’s skills and knowledge in all areas of the curriculum. We have specialist teachers in Literacy and Maths who work across the school to ensure that reading, writing and maths lessons are of the highest quality. We also pride ourselves on our wider curriculum which includes lots of exciting opportunities to learn both inside and outside of the classroom. There are lots if interesting trips and workshops and Art, Dance, Gym and Music are all taught by specialist teachers.

WORKING TOGETHER
We expect all children at Heathmere to achieve and become the very best they can be. This vision will drive us as we aim to keep improving our school. Children have the greatest chance of succeeding if parents and school work together in partnership. We are a friendly and open school that prioritises the inclusion of all children. Safeguarding children and ensuring their welfare is a priority for us and we will work with parents to make sure all of our children are safe.
