What skills and experience we're looking for
- Recent successful experience at Headteacher or Deputy Headteacher level, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff.
- Evidence of school improvement through leadership.
- The skills and abilities to nurture, inspire and challenge all our children to reach their full potential regardless of ability so they can ‘soar on wings like eagles!’
- Motivation to uphold and strengthen the Christian values and ethos of our school.
- A positive and proactive attitude, recognising the journey of improvement our school has taken but having clear ambition for the future.
- A desire to work collaboratively with the whole school community to build upon the school’sachievements to date and to continue and consolidate the journey we are on.
- Commitment to working closely with other schools in the Trowbridge area as part of the Collaborative Schools Ltd.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to support and lead a strong staff team, and strengthen relationships within the wider school community.
- Understanding of 'The Thrive Approach' to interaction with children and adults within the school community.
- The ability to use and interpret data to inform day to day and longer-term planning throughout the school.

The children, staff, parents and Governors of Hilperton C of E Primary
School are looking for an inspirational, motivated and dynamic headteacher to
lead our friendly village school and to share our strong Christian ethos. You may be an existing Headteacher or an
experienced deputy looking to make the next step in your career, who has a
desire and a passion to see all children reach their full potential. We are
looking for a collaborative and visionary leader to build on our strengths and
grow our reputation in the community.
We are a strong family school that puts our Christian Values at the centre of our learning which is rich in academic and creative diversity. Our curriculum is filled with exciting stories and wonderful opportunities to share what we do with our community through exhibitions, drama, sport and music.

Our school is in the wonderful village of Hilperton, set in the beautiful Wiltshire countryside and we feel very lucky to call it our home. We are a strong family school that puts our Christian Values at the centre of our learning, which is rich in academic and creative diversity. Our curriculum is filled with exciting stories and wonderful opportunities to share what we’ve learnt. We listen carefully to our children to ensure they grow emotionally and academically and give them the best possible start in life. With our family ethos, expansive green and leafy grounds, spacious learning areas, a modern library, home cooked food, forest school and wonderful staff, it’s a magnificent place for children to learn.
