Headteacher job summary

We have a fantastic opportunity for an exceptional individual with proven leadership experience to join the Trust as Headteacher for Isebrook SEN College, a secondary special school that is well on its way to becoming a centre of excellence.

This position offers an exciting, challenging and rewarding opportunity to be part of the continuing development of our school which currently caters for 205 fantastic students aged 11-18 who have a wide range of learning needs, including SLD, MLD, ASD, complex learning difficulties and associated social and emotional difficulties.

The time is now right to restructure the school leadership and recruit an outstanding leader with significant experience of leading the learning and teaching of young people with cognition and learning needs.

You will have proven success of implementing and embedding curriculum developments which lead to improved outcomes. Creating Tomorrow Academies Trust are committed to the welfare of everyone and you will have a proven record of developing your teams as well as fostering excellent relationships with stakeholders, having demonstrable evidence of inspiring your colleagues and leading effective collaboration.

You will be responsible for ensuring the effective day to day operation of the school, including the curriculum, learning and teaching, and pupil progress and achievement. You will have operational management of the budget and responsibility for all staff at the school. You will support the Trust to create a culture of high expectation, self-evaluation and constant improvement. In return you will be supported by colleagues across the Trust who lead and manage the central business services so you can focus on developing the unique culture of your school.
