Further details about the role
Supporting children on a life-long learning adventure
Marlcliffe Primary is a large and high-performing primary school in Sheffield. Due to the forthcoming retirement of our long-serving headteacher, we are now seeking a new head to lead our ongoing progress and development.
Located at the heart of a supportive community, ours is a happy school in which we seek to ensure that all children reach their full potential. School leaders, teachers, support staff and governors share this commitment to support children’s wellbeing whilst providing the very best possible education.
Commitment to safeguarding
Marlcliffe Primary is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety of children. We expect all our staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974. All shortlisted candidates will be asked to disclose any cautions or convictions prior to interview. The amendments to the ROA Exceptions Order 1975 (2013 & 2020) provide that certain convictions and cautions are 'protected' and are therefore not subject to disclosure to employers. Guidance and criteria on the filtering of these cautions and convictions can be found on the Ministry of Justice website.
