Headteacher (Maternity Cover) job summary
Are you passionate about making a real difference to the lives of those young people who need it most?
Will you champion the lives of our pupils in terms of providing the highest quality pastoral and enrichment support and opportunities?
Will you have a relentless pursuit for the highest academic outcomes achievable regardless of need or ability?
We are looking to appoint a passionate and ambitious Headteacher who is driven by a desire to affect social change and give our pupils, staff and community the skills and knowledge to succeed. Could you be the person that brings this success by allowing our pupils to Discover : Nurture : Aspire?
This will be a fixed term position, covering maternity leave for one academic year.
Djanogly Northgate Academy is a school that has children at its heart. We aim to support our whole community to become the very best that they can be so that everyone is recognised, welcomed and respected. We are culturally diverse and believe that everyone has something that can enrich the lives of others. We know that everyone has their own talents and believe that it is our role to develop them further through high quality teaching experiences.
The values of Djanogly Northgate Academy are built around three core pillars: Discover, Nurture, and Aspire.
These values guide the behaviour and learning culture of students at every stage, from EYFS through to KS2, reflecting a shared commitment across the school.
This shared ethos creates a cohesive learning environment that empowers students to grow academically, socially, and emotionally
We have a well-trained, hugely passionate and thoroughly committed team of staff who understand the importance of their roles in impacting on the life chances of our pupils. This is a highly motivated group of staff who want the best for our pupils.
The school is part of Djanogly Learning Trust and we are looking for a Headteacher who will embrace being part of a group of schools - being prepared to both take and implement the best ideas from others, whilst also sharing and celebrating the best parts of Northgate. Djanogly children are Djanogly children whichever of our schools they attend, and we have a responsibility for wanting the best for all of them!
If Northgate sounds like the type of school that you would like to lead;
If you can embrace both the challenges and rewards that this role will bring;
If you are committed to giving our pupils, staff and community the very best;
We would love to hear from you!
Visits to the academy are encouraged! If you wish to arrange a visit, discover more about this exciting opportunity, need any further information or would like to have an informal discussion, please contact Tim Jeffs, Director for Primary Education via Eleanor Holmes (Northgate Office Manager) at e.holmes@northgate.djanogly.org or 0115 9156896.
