What skills and experience we're looking for
The Governors of New Longton All Saints’ CE Primary School are seeking to appoint an inspirational, dynamic and aspirational Headteacher from January 2026. Our school is caring, family-oriented, supportive and inclusive: a spiritually enriched community where our Christian ethos is central to all that we do. Following our existing Headteacher’s promotion after 8 years of stable leadership, we are seeking to appoint a new Headteacher who will work with the governors to shape the strategic direction of the school, who aspires to take our school forward, and recognise and cherish the unique ethos of New Longton All Saints’. Our new Headteacher will lead a flourishing team that works together to support all our children, families and staff in line with our school’s vision:

- Be passionate in promoting a clear child-centred vision and ensuring children flourish holistically and academically.
Governors are seeking someone who:
- Can demonstrate a proven track record of providing inspirational, strategic and professional leadership.
- Is passionately committed to safeguarding and the welfare and wellbeing of children and staff.
- Will be an enthusiastic and knowledgeable servant leader, with a strong commitment to working in partnership with parents, community and parish.
- Will lead the team in the school to support our children in flourishing.
- Will work hard to ensure that every child is supported and challenged to maximise their potential, aligning with our vision and ethos.
