Headteacher job summary

Exceed Academies Trust are now seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic Headteacher to lead Park Aspire Alternative Provision Academy on a permanent and full-time basis, from 01 January 2026.

This is an exciting chance for an inspirational leader to work alongside the existing Senior Leadership Team, utilising their skills and experience to enhance education in Bradford, ensuring that all pupils attending Park Aspire Alternative Provision Academy benefit from the outstanding learning opportunities they deserve whilst furthering their own career within Exceed Academies Trust.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Headteacher will lead the existing Senior Leadership Team and be responsible for the day to day leadership and management of the provision, working collaboratively with Senior Leaders and colleagues across the Trust to ensure the setting continues to strive towards becoming an outstanding provider of education for children aged 4 to 14 years old..

Offering pupils a fresh start in a new environment, away from the influence of peers and experiences that have previously impacted on their ability to succeed, Park Aspire Alternative Provision Academy is committed to providing a safe, caring and stimulating environment for all pupils. This allows the young people who attend the opportunity to re-engage with learning and either return to mainstream schooling or successfully move to a more specialist setting.

Park Aspire Alternative Provision Academy is part of Exceed Academies Trust, which currently consists of fourteen academies; ten primary schools, an all-through primary-to-secondary academy, two alternative provision academies (Primary and Secondary), and a specialist setting for children/young people who suffer from social, emotional and mental health difficulties. The Trust has an excellent reputation within Bradford and beyond, and an outstanding track record of supporting staff in developing their careers through specialist training lead by the Exceed Teaching School Hub and our Outstanding SCITT.
