Queen’s Croft High School is a secondary special school for pupils aged 11-19 with moderate learning difficulties. Some of our pupils have additional physical, sensory and autistic conditions.
We are very proud of our Complex Needs department however, we are not currently admitting new students with this level of need. This is part of our revised admissions procedures.
We cater for special needs pupils from a wide area which covers primarily Lichfield, Rugeley, Tamworth, Cannock and Stafford but also includes pupils from Walsall and Birmingham.
Our school is a happy place to learn and our children tell us very clearly that they enjoy coming here each day. We provide a broad range of flexible learning opportunities to meet all our pupils’ individual needs in an outstanding and stimulating environment. This setting nurtures and challenges our pupils to achieve their potential whatever their starting point.
We have a committed and skilled team of caring staff who do all they can to support our pupils and help them to learn and to achieve their individual potential: Celebrating Individual Success.
Our dedicated staff prepare our pupils for an ever-changing world with the essential skills to help them be resilient so that they can cope, adapt and react to any change they might experience in their lives.
We value all children’s experiences and we build upon our pupils’ success. We encourage them to value their work and themselves. Personal development and social skills are rated as highly as academic success.
Each pupil’s individual learning pathway is a partnership between school and home because we have established a close working relationship with our parents and the local community. We particularly value working closely with parents and carers because we know that when we work well together, pupils always achieve more.
