The right leader will have;
- proven and successful experience in school leadership and management
- the ability to inspire and motivate
- excellent communication skills
- strategic vision and skillset to maintain and further develop partnerships between children, parents, governors and the wider community.
- Experience in Early Years and the EYFS curriculum
- SENCo experience

Balham is the oldest of the three maintained nursery schools in Wandsworth. The school was set up over 85 years ago by members of the local community and others dedicated to the principles of nursery education. From 1 April 2021 Balham will join with Eastwood Nursery School to form the Wandsworth Federation of Maintained Nursery Schools. We provide the highest quality early years education for children aged 2-4 and have 8 SEND specialist places for 2 -3 year olds. We were delighted that following our most recent School OFSTED inspection (9th January 2018) we received an “Outstanding” grading, our fifth successive Outstanding. Our ethos is based on creativity, nurture and respect and in everything we do, we are driven by the best interests of the child.
