What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for a Headteacher who would bring strong leadership to our team and who would embrace the opportunity to lead our school and community at St Mary’s Catholic Primary. The successful candidate will need to be an enthusiastic practitioner who has strong ambitions to help our staff and children to succeed. They will need to be firm but also have a good sense of humour.
St Mary’s Catholic Primary School, Great Eccleston is a small but vibrant school in the heart of a Lancashire Village. We have a dedicated and enthusiastic staff who have a strong focus on teaching and supporting our children. There is a strong Governing Body who are passionate about their involvement in the school and the local community.
Being in a small village there is a strong sense of community among our families and
school team, with a focus on the children and their progress through the school.
This is a fabulous opportunity for you to join us and work with a fantastic group of committed staff who believe strongly in education and working to improve the life chances of our children and young people. As a small school, there will be a requirement for the Headteacher to be a Designated Safeguarding Lead. There will also be a need for the Headteacher to teach a 0.4 timetable.
