The Governing Body is looking to recruit a new Headteacher for September 2025 or January 2026.
St Peter’s is a thriving and vibrant school, where children are engaged, nurtured and inspired. Over the past five years our school has progressed and developed. We achieved a ‘Good’ Ofsted inspection in 2022 and more recently a superb SIAMS inspection report. We now look forward to building on these strong foundations, taking the school forward.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced school leader to lead our school with vision and passion. The Headteacher will lead, motivate and hold staff accountable for delegated responsibilities whilst fostering a culture of high expectations and continuous improvement. An excellent understanding of educational pedagogy and how this is translated into focused and measurable educational progress for the children is required as is the ability to foster a nurturing and supportive atmosphere for children and staff.
Our key priorities for 2025/2026
- Further the progress made in raising standards in reading, writing and mathematics in all children’s groups and to meet expected levels at Key Stage 2.
- Investment in our staff as a team and ensure that teaching standards are good every day, for every child.
- Embrace the Christian vision and values we hold and bring further depth to our spiritual development and to further that with the local community.
- Think strategically and creatively in the context of a challenging budget to provide a supportive yet challenging learning environment.
