Stapleford Abbotts is a Primary Academy is one of four primary schools within the Essex region at The Kemnal Academies Trust (TKAT). Stapleford Abbotts is a small village Academy which has five classes and a nursery. The supportive and committed employees and governors work tirelessly to ensure that all pupils achieve the best possible personal, social and academic outcomes.
We are currently seeking an innovative and enthusiastic Headteacher, who will positively contribute and build on the school’s existing strengths, to lead, motivate, develop, and inspire a school team that is passionately committed to giving pupils a wide range of real-life and enriching experiences.

For this role, you will have demonstrable school leadership and management skills, and experience, a commitment to professional development, and the personal qualities to build strong relationships with all stakeholders including parents, governors, and colleagues at all levels.
The Headteacher will be responsible for the leadership, organisation, management and control of the School whilst working in partnership with key providers. You will be expected to promote and safeguard the welfare of the pupils for whom the School and governing body are responsible and those with whom they come into contact; to ensure a high-quality education for pupils and high standards of achievement. Headteachers are required to carry out the duties set out in Part 9 of the School Teacher’s Pay and Conditions Document.

We are a small one form entry Primary Academy set on the borders of rural Essex served the community of Stapleford Abbotts since 1887. We also have a preschool on our site, so our children join us at three years old.
Our children are polite, respectful and have a high regard for being a part of a truly amazing little school.
The staff are dynamic, highly motivated, and committed to working as an exceptional team of professional teachers and support staff. The school’s morals and values are set in our vison of ‘Inspire - Believe - Achieve’. We offer a curriculum that educates and nurtures each child, enabling them to achieve high standards of academic attainment whilst also enabling them to become capable, caring and confident learners, ready to take their next step in the journey to adulthood.
