Health Assistant - Waltham Toll Bar Academy
18.5 hours per week, Permanent (Hours negotiable)
LGAT 9 £28,423 pro rata. Actual Salary: £11,852.39
Term time (190 days per year)

We are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate Health Assistant to join our academy
- Provides First Aid care within the Academy
- Provides first aid in emergencies and contacts emergency services when necessary
- Maintains student’s Academy medical records through regular liaison with parents, Health Authorities and general practitioners
- Arranges routine medical checks
- Maintains medical stock and orders appropriate supplies
- Provides general medical advice on general hygiene matters
- Is fully conversant with current information on sexually transmitted infections and social drugs to make immediate referrals to the appropriate Vice Principal.
- Prepares routine correspondence
- Administrates dressings where needed
- Refers student’s health problems to parents and other interrelated agencies where needed
- Offers basic hygiene solutions to problematic students
- Supervises student’s self-administration of medication
- Reports to the responsible Vice Principal on matters relating to fighting bullying, students’ safety and Child Protection.
- Liaises with our designated school nurse
