We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated School Health Care Assistant

based at Derwent Primary School

Permanent part- time position

Monday - Friday 11am-2pm (15 hours a week)

Level 2A point 3 (£24,796 per annum, pro-rata)

This post would suit someone with experience in personal care and medical processes within a school setting with the ability to respond and communicate empathetically with children.

Person Specification

Under agreed school procedures, to administer first aid/medicine including administering emergency medication where necessary

Previous experience working within a school environment would be ideal but not essential

Administrative duties: manage accurate records and documentation related to the students care such as managing health care plans, medical forms and carrying out stock check of medical equipment

Work closely with teachers and staff, therapists and other healthcare professionals to support the students medical needs, wellbeing and health care

A caring attitude, kindness, and a willingness to be hands-on and follow instructions

Must be paediatric first aid trained with a valid certificate
