High Needs Learning Support job summary
Waddington All Saints Academy, part of L.E.A.D. Academy Trust, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic High Needs Learning Support Assistant to join our committed team. This is an exciting opportunity to support pupils’ learning, wellbeing, and development, helping every child to reach their full potential.
Working 17 hours a week worked over 5 days which is anticipated to be between 10 and 1.30 each day.
- Key responsibilities:
- Supporting pupils with additional needs, where required in the classroom, both individually and in small groups
- Assisting teachers in preparing and delivering engaging lessons for those identified children.
- Helping to create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
- Promoting independence, confidence, and resilience in pupils
- Assisting with classroom organisation and administrative tasks
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a genuine passion for working with children
- Is patient, caring, and committed to inclusion
- Has good literacy, numeracy, and communication skills
- Can build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
- Works well as part of a team and shows initiative
