Higher Learning Teaching Assistant (HLTA) job summary

We are looking for an excellent HLTA to join us in the summer term . The post offers the opportunity to play a key role within the wider school team.

You will need to be an excellent practitioner who demonstrates high expectations for all pupils and ensures that children remain at the heart of everything you do.

As a HLTA you will:

  • Be an experienced, aspirational practitioner with strong classroom expertise

  • Lead by example and work effectively as part of a team

  • Be creative, proactive and solution-focused, with strong professional values

  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to inspire, support and challenge pupils

  • Show resilience, initiative and a reflective approach to practice

  • Confidently lead whole-class teaching and deliver targeted interventions
