Are you passionate about supporting children's learning and ready to take the next step in your education career? At Hooe Primary Academy, we are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our vibrant and nurturing school community.

As an HLTA, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality support for teaching and learning across the school. Working closely with teachers and school leaders, you will:

  • Lead whole-class sessions in the absence of a teacher

  • Provide targeted interventions and support for individuals or groups

  • Assist in planning, preparing, and assessing learning activities

  • Contribute to the development of a positive, inclusive, and ambitious learning environment

  • Support children with SEND and SEMH

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds HLTA status or an equivalent qualification

  • Has substantial classroom experience in primary education

  • Is confident managing classroom behaviour and promoting positive learning

  • Demonstrates initiative, flexibility, and strong communication skills

  • Shares our commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

    Hooe Primary Academy is a Happy school where everyone is Passionate and Ambitious about learning.

    We are a one form entry school within Hooe which was established in 1926. We have a fantastic school site with three playgrounds, a large school field, and additional classroom spaces which are used for a range of activities. Our primary aim is to encourage all our pupils to be self-confident, inquiring, tolerant, positive individuals, who have respect for the differences of others.
