Are you passionate about making a difference in children’s lives? Do you thrive in a collaborative, community-focused environment? Greengate Lane Academy is looking for a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our vibrant and supportive team.
About the Role:
As a HLTA, you will:
- Deliver engaging learning activities to individuals, small groups, and whole classes.
- Provide PPA cover for teachers under an agreed system of supervision.
- Support pupils with SEND and contribute to their individual learning plans.
- Use effective behaviour management strategies to create a purposeful learning environment.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing feedback to staff and families.
- Contribute to planning, preparation, and curriculum delivery.
- Support and guide other teaching assistants, sharing your expertise.

We’re Looking for Someone Who:
- Holds HLTA status or equivalent qualifications/experience.
- Has excellent literacy and numeracy skills (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent).
- Brings experience working with children across primary age groups, including those with additional needs.
- Is confident leading learning in the absence of a teacher.
- Has strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
