We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic  Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our hardworking and supportive SEND Department. 

We are an inclusive school who always work hard to make our practice as good as it possibly can be for all the pupils. This role is to work as part of a team of Teaching Assistants, and alongside subject teachers. The role involves delivering interventions to develop academic, social communication and emotional regulation skills.

The children with whom you would be working will have a range of SEND. You will be required to understand and support children facing these barriers.

The right candidate will:

-work effectively with subject teachers in lessons to enable pupils to access learning and make good progress

- deliver high quality interventions for both small groups and individuals

- develop positive relationships with pupils, parents and staff showing care, patience, empathy and encouragement

- have good Numeracy and Literacy Skills

- have experience working with young people with SEND

- have an ability to work using their own initiative

- have a positive and resilient mindset

- have the skills to maintain effective relationships and work well as a team

- have a high level of communication skills and the ability to relate positively to children and adults

- be flexible and able to adapt to changing situations and learn new skills

- a commitment to ensuring the safety of our pupils

- hold strong values that are aligned with the school and our department
