Higher Level Teaching Assistant job summary

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced or aspiring Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team of passionate and energetic staff at Chelveston Road School to support high quality teaching and learning across the school.

Chelveston Road School is an exceptional secondary school for students with an increasingly diverse range of special educational needs and is part of the Better Together Learning Trust. The successful applicant must possess the necessary skills to assist our students to make even better progress and gain skills and accreditation for later life.

Can demonstrate an awareness of the needs of our students.

Has a good level of education with appropriate literacy and numeracy skills.

Possess good communication skills both verbally and written.

A positive attitude and drive are also very important to us. You will be expected to provide cover for absent colleagues at short notice and be confident in working with a variety of people. Key attributes for this role are reliability and flexibility.
