Higher Level Teaching Assistant job summary

We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic classroom practitioner committed to developing pupil potential, who has high standards and the ability to challenge all children. You will be a strong team player who will contribute to the wider life of the school, have excellent communication skills and be able to work positively with children, parents and staff. The HLTA will cover classes (without the presence of a teacher), as cover for PPA time or in the event of other absence. They will also teach individuals, groups and whole classes either on their own or in the presence of a teacher and/or other teaching assistant. They will line manage support staff and lead a curriculum area with support.
