What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and inspiring Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to support students’ learning by providing specialist assistance to students with identified learning needs. The HLTA will assist the SENDCo in assessing, monitoring and evaluating the progress of students with learning needs.

The purpose of the role is to work collaboratively with the SENDCo in delivering timely and wellinformed research-based intervention to small groups in the schools’ learning support room. To work independently and collaboratively with teaching staff including evaluating and adjusting provision in response to students’ needs. To provide support for students individually or in small groups in order to raise standards of achievement by utilising advanced levels of knowledge and skills when delivering, monitoring and assessing students with identified learning needs. To encourage students to develop their confidence and independence as learners, to support their welfare and inclusion in all aspects of school life.
