What skills and experience we're looking for

Drake Primary School wishes to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistantto join our teaching and learning team. If you are passionate about educating children, well organised & practical, full of energy, values centred, able to evidence high quality interventions then you will fit right in!

We are looking for someone who will

  • be experienced in upper Key Stage 2 with excellent knowledge of KS2 curriculum
  • have a track record of providing effective support for student learning
  • ensure they know the needs of all our children and provide support to meet individual needs
  • invest in and celebrate the uniqueness of each individual in our school community
  • foster and understand that knowledge, wisdom and skills are achieved through hard work and perseverance
  • demonstrate empathy, compassion and forgiveness so that we all have the courage to take risks and learn from our mistakes
  • grow global citizens who value others and cherish themselves
  • have high expectations of learning and behaviour
  • have excellent communication skills with pupils, colleagues and parents
  • fulfil the person specification attached
