About this role:

Higher Level Teaching Assistant

31 hours per week, Term Time only

Pay Grade: G7 (point 22 to 27 - £32,654 to £37,035 pro rata to hours worked/term time)

Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? Do you have the dedication and empathy to make a positive impact on young learners? We are seeking a caring and motivated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic and welcoming primary school team.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one and small group support for children with a range of special educational needs

Assist in the implementation of IEP’s

Support pupils with classroom activities

Encourage and help develop independence, self-confidence, and social skills

Monitor and track the progress of children

We Are Looking For:

This role will involve supporting teaching and learning across the school, including delivering planned lessons, providing cover where required, and working closely with class teachers to ensure high-quality provision for all pupils.

We are looking for a committed and experienced member of staff who:

  • Holds HLTA status or equivalent experience
  • Has strong classroom practice and behaviour management skills
  • Can work independently and as part of a team
  • Is flexible and responsive to the needs of the school
