Join Our Team as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for Multilingual Learners at Astrea Academy Sheffield!
Are you passionate about education and eager to support multilingual learners? Astrea Academy Sheffield is seeking a dedicated HLTA to champion scholars for whom English is an additional language. You will work across all subject areas to enhance their learning experience and reduce language barriers without lowering expectations.
About the Role:
At the heart of our quality-first teaching offer is invisible intervention. This ensures that the additional support required for our multilingual scholars is embedded within our core curriculum, immersing them in language. In addition to classroom support, you will deliver targeted interventions to develop scholars' reading, writing, and spoken English, ensuring they succeed and feel a sense of belonging at Astrea Academy Sheffield.
What We're Looking For:
- Education Experience: You have experience within an educational setting, ideally working with Key Stage 3 and 4.
- Multilingual Experience: Previous experience working in a multilingual environment.
