Salary - Scale F Point 12 - 17 actual salary £21,606 - £23,437 (Full time annual salary £28,598 - £31,022)

This is an exciting opportunity to join our amazing Specialist Resource Base team.
We have a eight place SRB unit, for pupils with SEMH needs. Our goal is to support them to be able to take part in mainstream classes as much as possible.
We need a passionate and determined HLTA to work with our wonderful pupils in our SEMH SRB. The successful candidate will have experience of:
- Covering lessons and following a plan.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver tailored lessons and activities to meet the pupil's educational goals and objectives.
- Implement effective strategies, interventions, and support plans to address the pupil's specific learning difficulties or behavioural challenges.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment for the pupil, encouraging their social integration and promoting positive relationships with peers.
- Liaise with parents, providing regular updates on the pupil's progress, achievements, and areas for improvement.
- Attend relevant meetings and training sessions to enhance your knowledge and skills in supporting pupils with specific educational needs.
You will:
- Hold a relevant HLTA qualification or equivalent experience in a similar role - We can offer accelerated training to HLTA standards for the right candidate.
- Exhibit strong organisational abilities and the capacity to manage individualised education plans effectively.
- Show flexibility, adaptability, and resilience when faced with challenges or changing circumstances.
- Be a kind, caring person, who knows that children learn best in an inclusive environment.
- Have experience or interest in working with children with different learning needs, particularly experience of working with children with SEMH.
- Have experience of or ideas about how to use creative and innovative strategies to engage children in school life and learning.
- Have patience and resilience when dealing with children who demonstrate challenging behaviours.
- Have excellent communication skills.
- Be able to work individually and as part of a team.
By working in the base, you will get the chance to develop your skills and knowledge for supporting pupils with SEMH, through the skill of the team in school, and with the wider SRB teams for Norfolk County Council and our specialist partners.
