  • Temporary in the first instance - 1 year, with a possibility of becoming permanent.

We are looking for a full time (32.5 hours a week) higher level teaching assistant to start as soon as possible. You will be responsible for planning, teaching and marking the work for designated classes each week. Tasks will also include cover for unexpected absences. The role will be across our two federated schools (Great Massingham and Harpley Primary Schools), with time spent in each.

We are looking for a practitioner who…

  • Has high expectations of all learners.
  • Reliable, hardworking and works well as part of a team.
  • A willingness to work within the ethos of a church school.
  • Has a sound knowledge of the primary curriculum.
  • Experience working across all primary year groups.
  • A willingness to work within the Norfolk Steps therapeutic approach to behaviour.
  • Has GCSE English and Maths Grade C or above.
  • Able to support a wide range of needs including children with an EHCP.
  • Willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school e.g. supporting special events.
  • Has a positive attitude and a good role model.
  • Has a level 4 higher level teaching assistant qualification or equivalent demonstrated experience.
