Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) job summary

We are seeking a term-time only, 32.5 hours a week, HLTA.

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on young minds? Dedworth Middle School is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our vibrant team, working with pupils in Year 5-8. If you are confident in front of a class following the teacher’s planning and adept at supporting small groups, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

Cover lessons following the teacher’s plans

Support small groups of pupils

Adapt to changing circumstances and needs

Qualified HLTA

Strong understanding of inclusion and accessible curriculum

Excellent numeracy, literacy and communication skills

Confidence in leading small intervention groups and covering classes

Organised, patient, and resilient

Positive attitude and adaptability

Team player with the ability to develop positive relationships
