At Columbus School and College, we are looking for a creative and inspirational PMLD teacher dedicated to pupils aged between 3 and 19 with complex learning difficulties, many of whom also have autism. We have high expectations for all our learners and are profoundly focused on preparing them for the future with a broad and ambitious curriculum tailored to their individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), developed in collaboration with parents, carers, and other professionals .

As an HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. You will work in close partnership with class teachers to plan and deliver lessons, lead small group and whole class sessions, and support the personal development and wellbeing of our pupils. You will also take a lead role in managing Teaching Assistants within your phase and contribute to assessment, planning, and intervention delivery.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children and young people with SEND, and who is ready to take the next step in their career.

We are looking for someone who:

* Holds a Level 3 HLTA qualification or is willing to work towards it
* Has experience working with children or young people, ideally in a school or SEND setting
* Has strong communication, organisation and leadership skills
* Is committed to making a difference to pupils with complex needs
* Works well as part of a collaborative and supportive team
