Job Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at Mackie Hill School. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive and forward-thinking environment, contributing to high-quality teaching and learning while helping our pupils develop confidence, curiosity and kindness.

The successful candidate will support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inspiring lessons, foster positive relationships with pupils and colleagues, and contribute to the wider life of our school community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Within an agreed system of supervision, plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports wellbeing and achievement
  • Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress effectively
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, families and external professionals
  • Contribute to wider school initiatives
  • Uphold high expectations of behaviour, presentation and effort
  • Support the safeguarding and holistic development of all pupils
