Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) job summary

We would like to appoint a dedicated, flexible, skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work across the school from September 2022.

We need an HLTA who:
Is an outstanding classroom practitioner with a proven track record
Is committed to high standards of attainment and behaviour
Has a flexible and supportive approach to changing demands
Works effectively as part of a skilled team
Is able to plan, prepare and assess own lessons
Has appropriate qualifications and experience
The post will include whole class teaching for PPA cover (including teaching PE, computing and Foundation subjects) and may involve teaching intervention groups in literacy, (including RWI phonics, reading and writing) and mathematics. It will also include working in class to support the teaching staff. The role will also involve providing cover at short notice across the school.

Oulton Primary boasts an attractive spacious working environment. Our beautiful new build was completed in 2012; we now have an architect designed, multi-million pound learning environment fit for the 21st century. We have extensive grounds, including adventure playgrounds for both KS1 and KS2, large playgrounds and sports fields. EYFS have their own safe play areas.
