Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) job summary

32.5 hours per week | Term Time Only | Permanent Post
Start Date: September 2025 (or as soon as possible)

About the Role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic HLTA to support teaching and learning across the school. Your responsibilities will include:

  • PPA cover across year groups

  • One day per week Deputy Headteacher release

  • Non-contact release time for teachers

  • Your own PPA time to plan and prepare

  • Supporting high-quality teaching and learning in line with school values

We’re Looking For Someone Who:

  • Holds HLTA status (or equivalent experience)

  • Has experience delivering high-quality lessons and interventions

  • Is confident covering classes across the primary age range

  • Builds strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families

  • Is reflective, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement

We are seeking dedicated and adaptable individuals who are committed to supporting children's development across a range of ages, from our Pre-School, through to Year 6. Staff are expected to demonstrate flexibility and may be required to work across both the Pre-School and School settings as needed, ensuring consistency and continuity in our high standard of care and education.
