Penbridge School is seeking to appoint a Higher Level Teacher Assistant (HLTA)to join our dedicated and supportive team.
In this vital role, you will:
•Deliver lessonsto cover teacher PPA time and training
•Work alongside class teachersto raise the learning and attainment of pupils, promoting pupils’ independence, self-esteem and social inclusion
•Support individual pupils or small groupsto access the curriculum and engage actively in their learning
•Play a crucial rolein both classroom-based and wider school activitiesYou will be an integral part of the school community, making a tangible difference every day.

- A HLTA qualification would be desirable or the attribute to work towards obtaining this
- Previous experience in Key Stage 1 or/and Key Stage 2
- Passionate about inclusive education with the ability to support all learners
- A team player with initiative, able to work collaboratively while also demonstrating independence
- Well-developed interpersonal skills in order to establish strong working relationships with a wide range of people including pupils, staff, parents and external professionals.
- An excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing

The infants site comprises of a nursery with 24 places for funded 2-4 year olds and a 2-form entry infant school with 180 children on the roll including 24 in our Rainbow Fish Inclusion Unit.
