Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) job summary


This position is working over 4 days, 22 hours a week, Monday to Thursday, from 8.50 am to 3.20 pm, term time only.


We are seeking an outstanding, qualified HLTA who will successfully lead classes across the school, providing class cover, including for PPA, in-class support and interventions in Key Stage 1 and 2. If you are an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual, we would love to hear from you.


Good standards in English and mathematics are essential, as well as a clear understanding of what effective teaching and learning looks like in the primary phase. You need to be patient and adaptable to work with a wide range of children of varying abilities.


You must ensure you have the capacity and flexibility to be deployed across the school to provide high-quality teaching and learning whilst maintaining strong relationships and behaviour for learning.
