Higher Level Teaching Assistant job summary

The HLTA will:

Compliment the work of teachers by delivering whole class learning to ensure that all pupils make excellent progress.

Provide high quality support in relation to the raising of educational achievement and to encourage pupils to become independent learners.

Work with class teachers to raise the learning and attainment of pupils.

Promote pupils’ independence, self-esteem and social inclusion.

Give support to pupils, so they can access the curriculum, take part in learning and experience a sense of achievement.
