The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated person to join our supportive and friendly team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of our pupils.

The role will involve:

  • Covering teacher absences across Key Stage 2 (Years 3-6)

  • Providing PPA cover (Planning, Preparation and Assessment time) for class teachers

  • Delivering high-quality lessons and learning activities in line with teachers' planning

  • Supporting pupils' learning and development across the curriculum

  • Managing behaviour effectively to maintain a positive learning environment

  • Assessing and monitoring pupil progress

  • Building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

  • Contributing to the wider life of the school

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a trained HLTA (or equivalent qualification, eg NVQ3 for Teaching Assistants) and has a secure subject knowledge of primary education

  • Has experience working with children in Key Stage 2

  • Can deliver engaging lessons that inspire and motivate pupils

  • Has excellent classroom management skills

  • Is committed to our school values of Compassion, Adaptability, Creativity, Integrity and Aspiration

  • Works well as part of a team and can also work independently

  • Has strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Is flexible, resilient and enthusiastic about education

  • Shares our high expectations for all pupils

Curriculum
