About the role
Oatlands Junior is a busy and friendly school with three classes per year group. You will be joining a high performing team which delivers an exciting, creative and inclusive curriculum both inside and outside the classroom. We create a community where children are empowered to unlock their full potential and one which celebrates independence, tolerance, success and excellence. Keeping our children safe and happy is essential and this is your opportunity to join our dedicated school team in the important role of Higher-Level Teaching Assistant. We are looking for a someone who:
- is friendly, kind and caring, forging positive relationships with children, their families and the OJS team.
- is flexible working either supporting a pupil 1:1, leading small groups delivering interventions or covering whole class lessons.

Our running track, is popular with all our children, especially the ‘Daily Mile’ challenge. We work closely with our friends in the local community who support various projects in school. The local allotment group work in partnership with our Eco-Committee to maintain and develop our nature area, which includes a sensory and wildlife garden and Reading Retreat. Our sculpture garden, at the entrance to our school, displays works of art throughout the year in collaboration with local artists. We have been recognised for our high quality curriculum provision through the many awards that we have achieved, including: Arts Mark Gold; Sports Games Gold; Eco Schools Bronze; Healthy School Award Bronze and we are working to achieve the Carnegie Mental Health Award.
