We are looking for a dedicated and resilient Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team—someone who can represent our core values and help our pupils navigate their personal learning journeys with confidence. In this role, you will work closely with children and young people who have Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), complex medical needs, and physical disabilities.

Our curriculum is bespoke, experiential, and designed around the developmental stages of our pupils. In this role, you will be the architect of a classroom environment that brings our six core values to life:

  • I am SAFE: You will maintain a classroom rooted in our school values, using high expectations for health and safety, robust Moving and Handling routines and implementing individual MDT targets and individual care plans.

  • I am CURIOUS: You will bring our school curriculum to life, adapting and delivering experiential learning opportunities that spark deep engagement, sensory exploration, and an inquisitive spirit in every pupil.

  • I am NURTURED: You will foster a team culture where staff and pupils alike feel respected, valued, and advocated for.

  • I BELONG: You will ensure that the classrooms you work in are an inclusive hub where every child contributes positively to our school community, Working closely with Phase Leaders to ensure HLTAs have good support and coaching in curriculum progression.

  • I am PREPARED: You will use Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) strategies to support pupil’s understanding of the world around them (e.g.touch cues, body signs, objects of reference (OOR), eye gaze and symbol system).
