Higher Level Teaching Assistant (qualified) job summary

This is a part-time position for 11 hours per week, worked over two days, from 9:00am to 3:00pm, with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break. You would also be expected to attend 5 INSET days.

Initially, the successful candidate will be required to work all day on Thursdays to provide Nursery cover. From October onwards, there may be some flexibility in working patterns, with the possibility of morning or afternoon shifts.

The role will provide cover across the school, working with children from Nursery through to Year 6.

The Inclusive Multi Academy Trust which was established in 2016 with a vision to Inspire and nurture our children and their community to be the very best that they can be. The Trust consists of four schools; Beechfield, Cherry Tree, Laurance Haines and Willow Tree. Our nurturing Trust ethos places a strong emphasis of the development and wellbeing of staff.

The successful candidates will have a GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths (C or above) and a high standard of written and spoken English.

Shortlisting will be completed by assessing against the advertised person specification. Our interviews will always include relevant questions relating to child protection and/or safeguarding, and will usually involve a child centred task.
