We are seeking an exceptional Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant Lower School team.

This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in the educational development of children aged 4-9 years old, working closely with teachers to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and proactive individual who is eager to contribute to all aspects of school life, including our rich extracurricular programme.

Expectations of the Role:

As an HLTA in our school, you will be a key member of our educational team, demonstrating a high level of professionalism, initiative, and dedication. You will be expected to:

  • Be a proactive and positive role model for our pupils, fostering a love of learning and a sense of curiosity.

  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.

  • Show initiative and take ownership of tasks, working both independently and collaboratively.

  • Be highly organised and efficient, managing your time effectively to meet the diverse demands of the role.

  • Teach whole classes are required across the age range.

  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all school policies and procedures.

  • Commit to ongoing professional development, seeking out opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

  • Embrace flexibility, adaptability, and resilience, responding effectively to the evolving needs of the school and its pupils.

  • Possess a genuine ambition to be involved in our extensive extracurricular programme, contributing to the holistic development of our children.

    Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. References will be requested and an online search carried out for shortlisted candidates, prior to attendance at interview.

    Further pre-employment checks, including prohibition from teaching, childcare disqualification and section 128 checks, if deemed relevant for the role, will be completed for the successful candidate upon acceptance of the post.
