HIGHER LEVEL TEACHING ASSISTANT LEARNING SUPPORT 36 hours per week / term time only (including 5 Training Days) Required ASAP (Level 4A Point Range 11 – 14 (depending on experience) £21,748 - £23,080 pro rata (Actual salary range will be £18,342.00 - £19,465.00) Hours of work: 8.30am – 4.15pm Monday – Thursday 8.30am – 4.00pm – Friday (30 minute lunch break) Term Time Only plus 5 training days We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and hardworking HLTA to join our learning support team. The successful applicant will work alongside the teaching staff in supporting students in lessons or on a one to one basis when students are withdrawn from lessons. We also encourage Teaching Assistants with a desire to become a HLTA to apply. We achieve excellent examination results with about three-quarters of students typically gaining Maths and English at grades 9 – 4. ‘A’ Level results are also very good with over half at ‘A*’, ‘A’ or ‘B’ grades and an overall pass rate of 99.9%. About 80% of the Sixth Form go on to university and each year a number of students get into Oxbridge. The school is well regarded, oversubscribed and situated in a very pleasant area of Central Bedfordshire, within easy reach of London. The campus includes a state-of-the-art 400 seat theatre and we have just opened a new classroom block and Sixth Form social area. In the next few years the school is likely to expand to 1,700 with 500+ in the sixth form.
