Higher Level Teaching Assistant job summary

As our HLTA, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning across the school. You will have the responsibility to plan, prepare and deliver lessons to whole classes, covering for teacher absence and supporting PPA time. You will also work closely with teaching staff to raise the achievement and progress of all our pupils, including those with additional needs.

What we’re looking for:

  • HLTA Status or equivalent
  • Experience working in a primary school setting
  • Confidence and capability to teach whole classes independently
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and behaviour management skills
  • A positive, flexible, and collaborative approach
