Higher Level Teaching Assistant job summary
We are looking to appoint an efficient and highly skilled Level 5 Teaching Assistant to work under the instruction and guidance of teaching staff, to implement agreed programmes of work with individuals/groups, in or out of the classroom and provide cover for teacher’s PPA and management time.

St Matthew’s is a one form entry (with nursery) Church of England primary school situated in the Edgeley area of Stockport. The school serves a diverse community, and has strong links with both community groups and the parish. We are very proud of our ‘Good’ inspection judgement from Ofsted (June 2023) and the lovely report from our SIAMS inspection in February 2025.
