The hours are 28.75 per week, 38 weeks per year. Please note the salary quoted is the FTE and pro rata.
The role will involve teaching children as part of group work and whole class teaching alongside offering classroom teachers support within the environment. The role may include 30 minute lunch duty which involves supervising children at play on the playground. Please see attached job description and person specification.
The successful candidate will have experience of working with primary aged children, in a school environment and with children with SEND. They will show enthusiasm for learning, initiative and have an understanding of the importance of supporting social and emotional development in children in order to maximise the achievements and well-being of our pupils.
The successful candidates will:
Demonstrate BEST
Have experience of working with children, including those with SEND, in a school environment.
Use initiative and have a creative outlook on supporting children to be successful and achieve all that they can.
High levels of organisation to work independently and as part of a team.
Supporting pupils’ learning and development in the classroom under the direction of the class teacher
Working with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning and support progress
Assisting with the preparation of resources and learning materials
Delivering planned lessons and managing classroom behaviour as a Cover Supervisor when required.
Promoting positive behaviour and inclusion in line with school policies.
Supporting the social, emotional and behavioural needs of pupils.
