What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for an experienced HLTA who has worked in both early years and key stage 1.

  • Have proven experience of working within a primary or infant school and have a HLTA qualification or equivalent and a good level of literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE or equivalent)
  • Undertake specified timetabled covering of teaching duties, as agreed with SLT, on a planned and ad-hoc basis.
  • Need to be flexible, resilient and able to work collaboratively and independently to plan lessons for PPA cover.
  • Be hardworking and committed to ensure all children reach their full potential.
  • Work positively and collaboratively with the teaching team, pupils and parents across our community.

We are an infant school in Brackley that is a standalone academy. All teachers are passionate and specialists in early years education. We have two classes in each year group with a large school hall. The EYFS area has its own outside area which can be accessed at all times. The school has a well resourced Forest school which is used throughout the week. We are a close working team where being a team player is essential.
